When I get the buffer rebuilt, we’ll start updating again. This hiatus is not permanent.

Godsend. Chapter 1, Page 1

it begins! i’ll be uploadingĀ  a page a day all this week in order to speed us along, and then after that, it’s a page a week.

Discussion (8)

  1. I love this comic to death, but as a minor nitpick, “prodigal” doesn’t mean “wandering.” It means given to expenditure and waste. (Same root word as “prodigious”.)

  2. well, i’m not the writer, but in this instance i support his word choice. words are not confined to their strict dictionary meaning, and frequently take on connotations. here, it’s a reference to the story of the prodigal son, from the bible, who left home but ultimately returned. the word choice comes from the reference, not the dictionary.

  3. I think the real definition works here, whether the author knew it or not. They abandoned the world. Sounds pretty wasteful of their expenditures to me.

  4. Fantastic first page! I love the designs for the gods, as I mentioned before I am particularly partial to the boar god. I like how all of the hands are drawn on this page, their wrists are all so delicate.
