When I get the buffer rebuilt, we’ll start updating again. This hiatus is not permanent.
so! friday morning my aging laptop sputtered and died. i’ve spent my whole weekend sorting the mess–starting with trotting off to Best Buy to snag the cheapest HP they had, and ending with huddling at a friend’s house as he attempted to force the harddrive from the dead computer to give up its secrets.
it kept most of them.
the new laptop was about $400. $400 i really don’t have. it’s just going to sit on my credit card racking up fees, the way emergency spending tends to. now, so far, i haven’t put up ads or a donate buttons or anything else of the kind on this site. i don’t like ads, which is why i chose to host the comic myself rather than put it on put it on a free comics host. at the same time, i’m broke. so, please forgive me if i pretend like i know how to run a business for the moment.
i’ve decided to sell the original pages from the comic. i’ve set up an etsy store and a paypal account and all that jazz. i’ll be posting up pages throughout the week. if there’s a specific page you want, that i have not posted yet, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
now, i’ve priced the pages at $60 a piece. if you want to help, but don’t want to shell out $60, then by all means, please donate. when i can cover the price of this computer, i’ll draw you guys something cool.
